I am writing regarding an ongoing and serious issue with my 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 RST 2.7L that continues to occur despite multiple visits to the dealership. Recently, as I was leaving my house, I entered my truck and started the vehicle as normal. Immediately after startup, approximately eight warning lights and system failure messages appeared on the dashboard simultaneously. The warnings included the Check Engine Light, ABS warning, Brake System Failure, Service Steering Column Lock, Service Traction Control, Service ESC, Service Brake Pad Monitor, and Trailer Brake Disabled warnings. At that point, the truck became undriveable. Although I was able to shift gears, the vehicle would not move properly in either Drive or Reverse. Due to the severity of the issue, I turned the truck off and left it parked overnight. The following day, all warning lights and messages had disappeared completely. This situation is extremely concerning because the vehicle appears to fail randomly without warning. I no longer feel safe driving the truck, especially with my children in the vehicle, because I fear it could stop functioning again at any time and potentially create a dangerous situation. I have already taken the truck to the dealership multiple times regarding this issue. However, I have repeatedly been told that they cannot properly diagnose or repair the problem unless the warning lights are actively present at the time of inspection. Since the issue is intermittent, this has made it very difficult to get the truck repaired, even though the problem clearly continues to occur. I am requesting that this matter be taken seriously and investigated further, and because this is a new truck that barely has 7,833 miles on it.as this appears to involve critical safety systems including braking, traction control, steering, and vehicle drivability. I depend on this truck daily and need a permanent resolution to this problem as soon as possible.

Had truck towed to dealership. If truck would have died on road I was driving on, it could have been bad. Road is very narrow with numerous blind spots.

I had it towed to the dealership, and found out theres a bulletin on these motors. [XXX] . Why would I buy something when its been a know issue with the manufacturer since 2025. I feel as if the manufacturer is selling these units and once this happens its the consumers loss. I cannot believe the manufacturer has not issued a recall. If that were too happens there would be a lot of lemon laws and there lawyers know not to go down that road. There fix is to give me a refurbished engine!! How can that be constitutional knowing there's been a problem with this engine and now my resale value just went down. If I knew what I know now I would of purchased used because thats what im getting in return which is consumer robbery. On April 11, 2026, my 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 experienced a catastrophic engine failure while traveling on a public highway. The sudden loss of power created a significant safety hazard and could have resulted in a serious accident. I was able to maintain control and avoid a crash. The vehicle was towed to a dealership and diagnosed as requiring a full engine replacement. The vehicle has been inoperable for over 19 days, leaving my wife and me stranded far from our home in Texas. This failure occurred without warning at highway speed and presents a serious safety concern that should be investigated.

I purchased a 2026 GM Chevy Silverado. At 500 miles all dash warning lights came on while driving, radio played static. I disconnected battery in order to reset the computer. At 1400 miles in the heat of south Florida the air condition stopped working. after completing my drive 60 miles away with no ac i disconnected the battery to reset the computer. The ac started to work after this reset. I went to the dealer and they wanted me to leave the truck. They could not provide a loaner and the fact that this is my only vehicle I could not leave it. At 2000 miles the computer screen stated that there was an update. The computer would not update when I pressed start update. The screen then said unable to update conditions not met go to the dealer. I went back to the dealer and they said there is no update and they reset the computer. THIS IS GOING TO KILL SOMEONE WHEN THEY PULL OVER ON THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE THE CHRISTMASS TREE ON THE DASH CAUSED THEM TO PULL OFF THE HIGHWAY AND A SEMI IS GOING TO KILL THEIR ENTIRE FAMILY WHEN THEY ARE STOPED ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE GM CANNOT MAKE A VEHICLE THAT WORKS CORRECTLY. PLEASE GO AFTER GM THE COMPANY THAT STOLE YOUR TAX DOLLARS WHEN THEY WENT BANKRUPT.

Driving at highway speed’s transmission was hard shifting on its own from Drive to Low and vice versa on its own the first time. Truck taken to dealer and was told that transmission needed an update. Second time driving at highway speed experienced hard shifting in rear and felt like I was hit from behind. Lost propulsion and check engine light came on. Was told that the valve body needed to be replaced. New truck with only 7,500 miles on it. My guess understanding is that this has been an issue with Chevrolet/GM 6.2 engines. Hard shifting and loss of propulsion accord while accelerating to pass another vehicle.
