I DISCOVERED MY RIM WAS CRACKED AFTER HAVING THE WHEEL/TIRE INSPECTED FOR A CONSISTENT SLOW LEAK. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER THINKING THIS SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. WHEEL WAS LEAKING AIR AND TOOK CAR INTO TIRE SHOP TO GET FLAT FIXED. DISCOVERED THAT BOTH REAR WHEELS WERE CRACKED ON THE INSIDE RIM. RIMS SEEM TO BE DEFECTIVE AS I HAVE NOT HIT ANY POTHOLES HARD ENOUGH TO HAVE WORRIED ABOUT MY RIMS.

Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A loss of power steering assist can require greater steering effort, especially at low speeds, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the power steering gear assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 15, 2025. Owners may contact Cadilac customer service at 1-800-333-4223 or Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is N252497020.
