Started driving down the highway and the parking brake engaged while I was going seventy miles an hour on the freeway. I felt resistance For the rest of my trip. I got to destination one.Couldn't get the parking break to disengage.And I had to drive at home like that. Unhooked to the battery cable and the parking brake disengaged for a moment.Next time I started the car , the parking brake on again and when I put it in reverse , it disengaged. Then it came on. Again. Took it to The shop and got an error code. It was really frightening driving down the highway and feeling the parking brake engage.And then feeling resistance with the car ERROR CODE C0293 08

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Camaro. The contact stated while driving approximately 50 MPH and, on a race, track the vehicle would not brake and the steering wheel failed to turn the vehicle as the contact was navigating a turn on the racetrack. The contact crashed into the racetrack wall on the driver's side. The contact had the vehicle towed to a dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed by a manufacturer representative, however, the information was not shared with the contact. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 7,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 CHEVROLET CAMARO. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE DRIVER ATTEMPTED TO TURN THE VEHICLE TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DIFFICULT TO DEPRESS. THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND STRUCK A POLE. THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUFFERED BACK INJURIES THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE ONSTAR SYSTEM PROVIDED AN ALERT THAT THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM AND STABILITRAK WERE DEFECTIVE AND THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE SERVICED WITHIN SEVEN DAYS. ONSTAR DETECTED THE BRAKE FAILURE THE DAY AFTER THE CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 95584814713. General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2017-2021 Chevrolet Camaro vehicles. The plastic "Camaro" emblem, located on the steering wheel air bag cover, may separate during deployment of the frontal driver air bag.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: In the event of a crash, plastic pieces of emblem may act as projectiles from deployment of the driver air bag can increase the risk of injury.

Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the frontal driver side air bag module, free of charge. The recall began April 14, 2021. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is N212327220.
