ABS LIGHT CAME ON, ON DASH, WHILE TRAVELING DOWN A STEEP ON LANE DIRT TRAIL ON A MOUNTAIN, BRAKES LOCKED UP CAUSING TRUCK TO SLIDE DOWN THE TRAIL ABOUT 75 FT, BEFORE TRUCK CAME TO STOP IN THE BUSHES. ABS LIGHT COMES ON CONSTANTLY AND ABS SYSTEM INOPERATIVE, GONE INTO MANUAL MODE, EVEN AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO RESET SYSTEM FOLLOWING INSTRUCTION FROM A LOCAL DEALER OVER THE PHONE. BRAKES HAVE BEEN CLEANED AND ADJUSTED AND INSPECTED, AND ABS HAS BEEN RESET SEVERAL TIMES. IS THIS THE SAME TYPE OF PROBLEM OCCURING IN OTHER GM ABS BRAKE SYSTEMS
WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES FRONT BRAKES STICK, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO JERK. THEN THEY RELEASE WITHOUT WARNING, SO THE VEHICLE MAY SUDDENLY ACCELERATE FORWARD AT A HIGH SPEED. DEALER SAYS IT'S NORMAL. *AK
DASHBOARD ASSEMBLY HAS DISLODGED FROM ALL SCREWS & RESTRAINTS CAUSING DASH TO WOBBLE SERVERLY WHILE DRIVING. DEALER WILL NOT FIX IT. *YC

THE OFFICE OF DEFECTS INVESTIGATION HAS RECEIVED 375 REPORTS ALLEGING FAILURE OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT FRAME WHICH IS PRONE TO BREAKAGE AT THE LEFT FRONT ATTACHING POINT.WHEN THIS OCCURS, THE SEAT MAY TILT AWAY FROM THE RISER DURING ACCELERATING OR BRAKING.(SEE CLOSING REPORT)
