I ALSO INFORMED THEM THAT I HAD RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE AND WHEN I TOOK THE VEHICLE UP TO GREEN CHEVROLET (CURRENTLY AMERICAN CHEVROLET) THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY COULDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM BECAUSE AT THAT TIME THE SEAT WAS OPERATING CORRECTLY.
WHILE DRIVING DRIVER'S SEAT FRAME BROKE, CAUSING THE DRIVER'S SEAT MOVE BACKWARD UNEXPECTEDLY WHICH ALMOST RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT. *AK *SLC
AFTER HAVING REPAIR WORK DONE ON SEATBACK BOLT, THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEATBACK BOLT BROKE AGAIN, CAUSING THE SEAT TO FALL BACKWARDS, WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. RECALL # 96E010000. *AK
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 35 MPH THE BOLTS THAT CONTROL THE BACK OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT SHEARED OFF, AND CAUSED THE BACK OF THE SEAT TO COLLAPSE. PROBLEM CORRECTED UNDER RECALL # 96010000 ABOUT 18 MONTHS AGO. *AK
DRIVER'S SIDE SEATBACK RECLINING BOLT BROKE, SEAT WILL NOT STAY IN AN UPRIGHT POSITION PRIOR TO/AFTER RECALL REPAIRS. (95V-246). *AK
CONSUMER STATES THE SIXTY-FORTY SPLIT BEACH SEAT BRACKET WHICH IS ATTACHED TO THE METAL IS TOO THIN, RESULTING IN THE METAL TO FATIGUE, ALLOWING THE SEAT TO BREAK AWAY, CAUSING THE SEAT TO DROP BACK TEN TO SIX INCHES. PROBLEM IS NOT CORRECTED. *AK
VEHICLE EXPERIENCED FAILURE OF THE SEAT BELTS AND THE DRIVER'S SEAT BOLTS PRIOR TO RECALL NOTICES, RECALL REPAIR ON SEAT BELTS DID NOT REMEDY FAILURE.

THE OFFICE OF DEFECTS INVESTIGATION HAS RECEIVED 375 REPORTS ALLEGING FAILURE OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT FRAME WHICH IS PRONE TO BREAKAGE AT THE LEFT FRONT ATTACHING POINT.WHEN THIS OCCURS, THE SEAT MAY TILT AWAY FROM THE RISER DURING ACCELERATING OR BRAKING.(SEE CLOSING REPORT)
