I backed my vehicle out of the garage and put it in park and stepped out of the Driver's door. I was going to put my son in his car seat in the rear seat when the vehicle started moving backwards and the opened driver's door knocked us down. I was able to push my son out of the way, but the vehicle continued and the front left tire rolled over both of my legs. The vehicle continued in reverse along the driveway, struck a trash container and went up the incline at the main road. It crossed a busy two lane road and into my neighbors yard. The vehicle came to a stop about 10 feet from our neighbor's house without striking anything else. We purchased this car used with just under 300 mile on it. During the time that we've owned it, it has randomly flashed a "Shift to Park" warning lamp on the dash when I shift it to park and turn it off. It has never done what happened to me today. A few months ago, my husband and I took the car to the GM dealership to have it checked out before the warranty expired. We told them about the "Shift to Park" warning lamp and that the car was shifting hard while driving it. They kept the car a few days and told us they were unable to find anything wrong with it.

Thermostat is faulty at 55k miles. Purchased 2020 Blazer RS, certified used from Chevy in October 2023. Less than 1 yr later, thermostat is stuck on cold, no ax or heat, drivers assist reduced notice. Same issues as previous documented complaints. The frustration is why this known issue is not covered under warranty or recall! I just had my 50k maintenance service done while this issue was occurring- service told me “well we cleared the codes” , 2 days later check engine is on, temp stuck on cold, fan is over worked and no a/c or heat- and driver assist turns off. The safety issues around causing more engine damage by improper cooling and reduction of driving assistance. Additionally, parking issue with vehicle not recognizing it’s in park and having to wiggle or jam the shifter- car drains battery and won’t lock until resolved. Car is took expensive to have a $1200 replacement not covered under warranty!

21V115000 · Tires

Feb 25, 2021

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2020 Buick Enclave, Cadillac XT4, XT5, Escalade, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, Traverse, GMC Yukon, Yukon XL, 2018-2021 Chevrolet Express, GMC Savana, 2019-2020 Chevrolet Blazer, Silverado 1500, GMC Acadia, Sierra 1500, and certain Continental tires sold to the aftermarket for various model year 2018-2021 vehicles. The affected tires were cured for too long during production.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Over cured tires may develop a break in the sidewall resulting in sudden air loss or a belt edge separation which could lead to a tread/belt loss. Either condition can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the tires, replacing them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began March 22, 2021. Owners may contact GMC customer service at 1-888-988-7267, Buick customer service at 1-866-608-8080, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006. Oct 29, 2020

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Chevrolet Cruze and Buick LaCrosse, 2018-2020 Chevrolet Equinox, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Terrain, 2018 Chevrolet Malibu, 2019-2020 Buick Encore, Buick Enclave, Cadillac XT4, Chevrolet Blazer and GMC Acadia, and 2020 Cadillac XT6 vehicles. The start/stop accumulator endcap may have missing bolts.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Missing bolts on the start-stop accumulator endcap could result in a transmission oil leak and may progress to a loss of propulsion, increasing the risk of a crash. A transmission fluid leak in the presence of an ignition source may increase the risk of fire.

Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the start-stop transmission accumulator and replace it if any bolts are missing, free of charge. The recall began December 15, 2020. The diffuser component of the Roof-Rail Air Bag (RRAB) inflator may not have been properly crimped to the inflator and could separate from the inflator during air bag deployment.
