15 reportsTHE FRONT END AND THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE WHILE PARKED IN A GARAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS A TOTALL LOSS. *YH
CIGARETTE LIGHTER WAS DEPRESSED AND WOULD NOT POP BACK OUT. RATHER THAN BLOWING THE 30 AMP FUSE ,IT STARTED BURNING WIRING HARNESS, CAUSING FIRE HAZARD.
VEHICLE LOOSES STEERING AND BRAKES DUE TO ALTERNATOR FAILURE. YH
VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN GARAGE. SMELLED SMOKE. CHECKED AND FIRE WAS INSIDE, LOOKED AS IF STARTED UNDER DASH AND SPREAD TO INTERIOR OF THE VAN. FIRE DEPARTMENT CAME AND PUT FIRE OUT. DEALER /MANUFACTURER AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. *AK *ML
WHILE STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE DEFECTIVE IGNITION SWITCH STARTED TO SMOKE, CAUSING A FIRE. DEALRR DETERMINED THE PROBLEM WAS THE IGNITION SWITCH, BUT FORD WAS NOT TAKING LIABILITY. *AK
HORN AND OIL PRESSURE GAUGE MALFUNCTIONED.
DRIVING VEHICLE AT SPEED 55MPH, VEHICLE STALLED, ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE UNDER THE HOOD DUE TO AN ELECTRICAL SHORT. *AK
COMPUTER REPLACED.
VEHICLE INTERIOR FIRE AROUND THE FUSE BOX, THERE WAS SMOKE AND FLAMES INSIDE THE FUSE BOX. *AK

THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEAT BACK HEIGHT DOES NOT CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 202, "HEAD RESTRAINTS."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: CONSEQUENCE OF NON-COMPLIANCE: SEAT OCCUPANTS ARE SUBJECT TO INCREASED RISK OF INJURY IN THE EVENT OF A SUDD STOP OR ACCIDENT.
Remedy: SHERRY DESIGNS WILL PROVIDE AN ATTACHABLE HEADREST FOR THE DEALER OR CUSTOMER TO ADD TO THE SEATS.
