THE THROTTLE ON MY 1996 CHEV 4X4 EXT.CAB SHORT BED PICKUP STICKS FORCING ME TO APPLY EXTENSIVE FOOT PRESSURE TO THE PEDAL IN ORDER FOR THE VEHICLE TO MOVE FORWARD. THIS CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO LURCH FORWARD. I HAD THE PROBLEM REPAIRED TWICE BUT IT RETURNS. I UNDERSTAND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS SAFETY HAZARD KNOWN AS "THROTTLE CABLE MAY CONTACT DASH MAT". HOWEVER, THE RECALL DID NOT SPECIFICALLY INCLUDE MY MAKE AND MODEL. THUS, I CONTINUE TO REPAIR WITHOUT ELIMINATING THE SAFETY HAZARD.*AK
