The contact had been driving 25 MPH due to concerns about the brakes failing with his children inside the vehicle. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V104000 (ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC), SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was not contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. Last week while driving, one of the front corners level suddenly went down in the middle of the road. Car was towed to the dealership. After it was inspected by BMW dealership I was informed that there is a suspension damage and one tire rim damage " due to impact" and either the car hit something or had pothole incident. I did not run or hit any object and did not drive over major potholes. So the estimate for repair of the right front air spring strut, graphed alignment and right front rim replacement was for 8200$. The car is 3 months old and top tier BMW 7 series. I used to drive 540 just before I got this new 7 series, and i had it for almost 5 years , had been through different potholes, different quality roads, had multiple issues with run flat tires but never had an issue with the suspension. Should I question the quality of the car and parts being used?

Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: The electric drive motor software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or by a dealer, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 5, 2025. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.
BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2022-2025 IX, 2023-2024 I7, and 2022-2023 i4 vehicles. The high-voltage battery cell modules may not have been assembled properly, resulting in stress on the module frame and possible module failure.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Battery module failure may lead to a shutdown of the high-voltage system which can result in a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. In addition, module failure increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will replace specific high-voltage battery cell modules, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk were mailed September 11, 2025. Another notice will be sent once the remedy becomes available, anticipated December 31, 2025Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.

The ground connection to the steering wheel may not have been attached correctly, resulting in an inoperative hands-on detection system.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An inoperative hands-on detection system may fail to detect when the driver's hands are not on the steering wheel and therefore not engage the emergency stopping assistant system, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and reattach the ground connection as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 8, 2023. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.
