This recall has been open for half a year now, and it seems the remedy is simply to replace those aluminum bolts! PLEASE help me get this through so that I don't end up in an accident or on the side of the road. This is for Recall Campaign No. 23V-707. The recall even states "if there is unusual engine noise, which may include illumination of the check engine or service engine soon warning lamp, do not continue to drive your vehicle and immediately contact the nearest authorized BMW center to arrange for pickup and transportation of your vehicle to the BMW center."
